I applied on a spur of the moment last month. I interviewed last Wednesday and got an unconditional offer on Monday. On cloud 9.

I've taken the plunge. I've decided it's finally time to start my Midwifery journey. I have a 7 month old son, but I'm so determined.

Hi I'm Steph, I'm 27, married and have a son Marty (born in June 2016). I've always been interested in pregnancy and birth, but always mistook it for my desire to have a family. I loved being pregnant, attending NCT classes and NHS Parentcraft classes (I was the sad person taking notes), and I loved asking the Midwives lots of questions. When my son was born my passion for pregnancy and birth didn't go, and my interest grew, I started researching and was lucky enough to be a Service User for some Midwifery interviews this year. Being around the lecturers, clinicians and potential student midwives, and seeing all the facilities, made me determined to stop being scared and to face up to my dream.

In February I decided to apply last minute for this academic year. I received my unconditional offer to Bedfordshire uni less than a week after interviewing. As you can imagine I'm still on cloud nine and can't believe I got in on my first cycle after one interview. I can't wait for September.
