Is there anybody here that hasn't sent off their UCAS application?

Discussion in 'Access to HE / Midwifery' started by Cheryls mummy, Oct 20, 2010.

  1. Some people sent theirs off last week and today in my access group. Only thing is, I havent been able to get a appointment yet with the careers person who sends them off for you. I ma seeing her on the 1'st November, is this too late?

I go to the same college as Kerri and the college's internal deadline is December 1st and the UCAS deadline for submissions is January 15th so I would not worry. :)

You will be fine. Last year mine went off at the end of November, I decided to add a second uni in late December and still had interviews for both. IMO it's better to get it so you're 100% happy with it and it goes in slightly later then everyone elses then not to be happy with it and get it early. xx

Mine has been sitting at college for 2 weeks now, waiting for its reference! Its frustrating cos I've paid and sent, but its still not officially been sent - really annoying. Tutor has promised me she'll do my reference for the end of the week though! You should definitely be ok sending it off at the beginning of November hun :D

Mine's not sent yet and with half term and waiting for college to put their reference on it, it probably won't go for 3 weeks or more!

    Hi Cheryls mummy

Can i ask hun, why do u need to see a careers person before u send your UCAS app off? Just wandering thats all as i have never heard of this (is it just something your college does?)

Good luck when you do manage to send it off hunni ;)

I've not sent mine off, got my appointment with HE advisor at college at beginning of november. Third year applying for me and for my first time I sent of 2nd week in November and last year sent of week UCAS opened and got interviews at same times on both occasions starting beginning of Dec.

Dharma, at college I'm applying through the HE advisor goes through UCAS application and PS before you send and then attaches reference after you read it and agreed. That way your UCAS application is being proof read so to speak so feel better knowing no mistakes. xxx
